Choosing an IPTV plan comes down to three questions: how many screens you need at the same time, which picture quality your home can handle, and how long you want to commit. Get those right and you pay for what you use, with no interruptions. This guide helps you answer each one, with examples for common Canadian households. This guide helps you pick the right IPTV plan for how your household watches. For more background, see Speedtest.
Question 1: How many screens?
A “screen” (or connection) is one device playing at a time. You can install the app on as many devices as you like; the screen count only limits how many play at once.
Picture your busiest evening:
- Is someone watching the game in the living room while the kids watch cartoons upstairs? That is two.
- Does anyone watch on a phone or tablet at the same time? Add one.
- Do you record while watching something else? A recording counts as a screen too.
| Household | Screens |
|---|---|
| Single person or couple watching together | 1 |
| Couple with different tastes | 2 |
| Family with children, two or three TVs | 3 |
| Large family or multiple sports fans | 4 to 5 |
More detail: can you watch IPTV on multiple devices.
Question 2: Which picture quality?
With us, every plan includes HD, FHD and 4K versions of channels where available, so you do not pay extra for quality. What matters is what your internet can support:
- HD: about 10 to 15 Mbps per screen. Looks great on most TVs.
- FHD: about 15 to 25 Mbps.
- 4K: 25 Mbps or more, a 4K TV and a 4K-capable device.
Multiply by your number of screens. Three HD screens need roughly 45 Mbps of steady speed. Check yours with our internet speed guide.
Question 3: How long?
All our plans include the same channels and features. Only the length and price change:
| Plan | Price (CAD) | Per month | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 19 CAD | 19.00 CAD | Trying the service, or a single season |
| 3 months | 29 CAD | 9.67 CAD | Playoffs or a sports season |
| 6 months | 49 CAD | 8.17 CAD | Regular viewers not ready for a year |
| 12 months | 78 CAD | 6.50 CAD | The best value once you are sure |
No plan renews automatically, so there is nothing to cancel. Extra screens are priced at checkout. See the plans on our homepage.
